Our Policy on Access and Inclusion of Disabled and Older People.
Our intention is to ensure that all our guests, including those with disabilities and older people, experience a warm welcome and we will do our best to make a visit to The Grannell Hotel work well for everyone, within the limitations of an old building. Our staff will be pleased to assist whenever possible.
Getting to The Grannell
The Grannell is in a rural location and there are limited public transport operators in the area. Bwcabus, and the T1 from Carmarthen. Taxis are available from the railway and bus stations at Carmarthen 15 miles and there are 2 local taxi providers in Lampeter town. Approach and outside property
The Grannell is easy to find and is on a junction just off a mini roundabout (The grey pub) The approach is via a well-surfaced drive. There is no blue badge reserved parking at present but is possible to park close to the well signed approach to Reception.
Access for wheelchair users and others with limited mobility
Most public areas (reception, guest lounge, bar and restaurant) have level access at The Grannell. There is no wheelchair accessible lavatory in the hotel.
None of the bedrooms are adapted for wheelchair users as all rooms are on the first floors accessed by stairs only.
Visually impaired visitors
The Grannell is well-lit and has a good, flat entrance and generally has good colour contrast in bedrooms and public areas. Action Information and menus are available in large print on request. Guide dogs and other assistance dogs are welcome.
Visitors with special dietary needs
We are happy to meet the needs of guests with special dietary requirements. Prior notice is appreciated.
Guests with allergies
Non-feather pillows and duvets are provided although carpets are 80% wool.
Deaf/hard-of-hearing guests and vulnerable guests
Procedures are in place to assist guests in case of fire or other emergency.
We will review access issues regularly and improve whenever possible.
